Vegan 5 Day Intensive Boot Camp workshops are designed to give students an economical and comprehensive overview of what can be done in a vegan kitchen so you can take your cooking or chef career and either start your own vegan business or learn to add vegan items to your existing traditional restaurant menu. In this intensive five (5) day training course students are given an intense training workshop that allows you to learn the most advanced techniques in a short amount of time.

  • 5 days of training (Monday-Friday)
  • 4 hours a day (10am-2pm)
  • Many new techniques and business lessons learned
  • Course taught only in English

The hands on 5 Day workshop curriculum focus on the following areas:

  • Make Vegan Cheeses & Egg Dishes
  • Learn to make Vegan version of Meat Dishes like burgers, chicken tenders, sausages, and bacon
  • Learn to make vegan Seafood Dishes including exquisite sushi plate
  • Making healthy Whole Food recipes that taste amazing including oil free and allergy free dishes.
  • And then learn to make vegan pastries like croissants, bagels, choux pastries or eclairs, and cheese cake

PREREQUISITES

This course is designed for cooks or chefs that have attended traditional culinary schools and want to expand their portfolio of skills or for mid-to-high level experienced home cooks that want to open their own cafe or restaurant. 

MEALS & ACCOMMODATIONS

Each day students will be eating light breakfast or smoothie and lunch at the academy. Dinner is not included. Our academy does not offer accommodation solutions. See the link below for ideas.

    The course was good, however I don't really feel like I learned a great deal about cooking and techniques, however I learned more about nutrition and vegan products to make food similar to non-vegan foods. I would have liked more instruction on whole foods and use of easy to find products instead of specialist items like the potato protein, which is agreed to be difficult to get. Being based in Kenya I don't have access to Amazon and a lot of online stores to purchase these specialist products. Also, my main purpose for taking the course is to get new techniques, skills, and ideas on how to create innovative dishes both for my friend's restaurant as well as in everyday cooking with friends and family. If possible I think you guys could share the recipes with non-specialist alternatives so people in developing countries who don't have access to these markets can also bring innovative vegan cooking to their localities. Overall though, the instructors were great, super friendly and always available to help with questions and suggestions. Well done to you guys for what you are working toward and what you are accomplishing. I'll definitely be in touch soon and take you guys up on your offer of support after the course :-) Oh, and one last thing - it would be really nice to have a "plating" instruction briefly - and what ever happened to the plating competition? We had produced some very beautiful dishes I thought :-)

    This course covers many areas of vegan cooking in a short space of time, from seafood to whole food and more. I liked the way we had a good mix of recipes and Techniques which would suit any kind of chef or vegan wanting to learn more about cooking. In this course you learn a lot of traditional plates which have been made vegan so I think it would be especially good for those who are new to the vegan world or wanting to convince non vegan friends to vegan food.

    Very inspirational and informative course with absolutely great instructors. You will learn some innovative techinques and possibly discover some new material.
    For me, there was a bit too much watching and I would have prefered getting more of a hands-on experience, but I guess it was necessary because of the time limit. Despite the short time, you will get a wide overview of different aspects of vegan cooking and business.

    The intensive course was very good. Different and interesting recipes were made in class in order to see textures, flavors, colors, and all that a magical "kitchen lab" can offer with the purpose of having the best results.
    If you get the opportunity to be immerse on this course, you will also be able to use all the products that school has to create amazing dishes, making friends and sharing vegan food.

    The Boot Camp helped me so much to set into perspective what it is exactly I want to accomplish with my time and energy in a kitchen...Who it is I want to reach and what it is that will set me apart. Learning new techniques that will give me the same taste we all know and love and of course listening to all the experiences being shared and discussed, made finding my identity in the kitchen much easier... Thank you so much to the Vegangastronomy crew for the wonderful experience and I hope to cross paths soon again!

    Vegan Boot Camp was an amazing course in terms of being both informative, and fun. The instructors are very attentive, thorough, and professional yet easy going. I loved that we covered business aspects and marketing as well as the importance of the taste and presentation of foods. If you'd like a class that covers all of the bases, but you don't have the time for the longer courses, then this is the one for you! You'll learn a portion from each important category of cooking, and you'll have a great time doing it! I'd recommend if you take no other courses here, take this one. Yay vegans!
