A dry inactive yeast extract that has a very strong "Cheddar Cheese like flavor" and is used as simple way to turn any nut, grain, legume, or root based cheeses into amazingly flavored vegan cheeses. It is often used to help create Vegan dairy free and lactose free cheese-like dishes, spreads, and sauces. It can also be used to increase mouthfeel flavor notes of soups, sauces and stews.  Due to strong flavor only a small amount is needed in use and a typical bag would last a home chef 6-12 months of usage.




  • Inactive yeast, Salt
  • Yeast is grown on beets
  • This mix IS NOT Nutritional Yeast but comes from the same mushroom and yeast/fungi family called Saccharomyces Cerevisiae. This is the family of live yeast used in bread, wine fermentation, beer fermentation, etc.  It has been inactivated (no longer alive) through a high temperature heat process on a steel drum.
